Kyle Cannon is a Partner within the Firm and is a leading workers compensation lawyer in the state of Tennessee. He regularly handles Worker’s Compensation claims at all levels of the claims process for Glassman, Wyatt, Tuttle & Cox, PC. Kyle also regularly helps on other firm matters involving business litigation, personal injury, professional legal malpractice defense, premises liability, collection law and other litigation areas. In his career, Kyle has assisted his clients in a number of ways, including:
- Handled thousands of Worker’s Compensation claims on behalf of employers across the State of Tennessee, including before courts and administrative tribunals, from the initial claim stage up to and through the trial and appellate process
- Served as lead trial counsel in multiple Worker’s Compensation trials
- Participated in and served as lead counsel on multiple appeals of Worker’s Compensation claims before the Tennessee Supreme Court, Tennessee Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and Tennessee Special Worker’s Compensation Appeals Panel
- Secured summary judgment on behalf of multiple employers in Worker’s Compensation claims, including a claim based on the complex application of a statute of limitations
- Taken numerous expert depositions of medical doctors, registered nurses, and expert witnesses
- Assisted in the Worker’s Compensation claim management process on multiple levels, including claim maintenance, mitigation, and settlement approval/resolution
- Assisted in the defense of lawyers and law firms sued for Legal Malpractice
- Served as trial counsel in a personal injury defense trial helping secure a Defense Jury Verdict for the firm’s client
