The Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law Alumni Chapter honored eight individuals for their contributions to the law and to the community at its 2016 Pillars of Excellence dinner on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Holiday Inn on the University of Memphis campus, and Glassman, Wyatt, Tuttle & Cox, P.C. Senior Shareholder Richard Glassman was present at the festivities. Mr. Glassman is currently serving as president of the Alumni Association for the University of Memphis School of Law, and he was asked to serve as emcee for the event.

Tennessee Supreme Court Justice Kirby, pictured below with Mr. Glassman and the Dean of the Law School, received the Special Distinguished Alumna Award. Recipients of the Pillars Award included G. Pat Arnoult, Saul Belz, John Dunlap, Jef Feibelman, Philip G. Kaminsky, Henry Klein and former Memphis Mayor A C Wharton.
